Details

When the Aeron Chair launched in 1994, it looked and felt unlike any office chair before it. Designed by Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick after years of research, Aeron had Pellicle suspension (a translucent, breathable suspension material), instead of foam and upholstery, making the chair lighter and more responsive to the human body. It was breathtakingly original, leading the Museum of Modern Art to add it to their permanent collection before the first one even sold.
