I am 6'3" and 200lbs. According to the size chart, I should get a size c (large). Does anyone near my height and weight have experience with a size B (medium) or size C (large)?

Answer:
Hi David,
My husband is 6'6" tall, 215 lbs, with a 37" inseam. He has been using the C size for 5+ years. I found that the biggest key in fitting him was the seat pan depth for his long legs (frankly, he could have used an even deeper seat--at 6'3" I believe you will be just fine) plus the wider and taller back for comfort/shoulder support. When I sat him in the B, he looked woefully uncomfortable! I personally would do a C with confidence. (The Aeron pellicle was the winning factor for him, he wanted something that would be cool and comfortable even on hot summer days of computer work and it has been phenomenal!) Certainly, if the is a HM retailer in your area, a test sit is worth a thousand words! Hope this helps!

Required height for high desk.

My current seat height to floor is 50cm which i find painful on the arms, neck and shoulders as my chair isn't high enough.

The underside of my desk to the hard floor measurement is 78cm.

What would be a suitable chair for this height.
I'm 74kg and 178cm.

Many thanks

Answer:
Speaking from experience, you really should NOT adjust your chair to compensate for a high desk, especially if it's creating pain.

I inherited a work desk that was "too tall" for me, as well as a Size C (Large) Aeron chair. As a 5-foot-tall woman, that combination gave me back and neck problems.

Long story short, I got a smaller Aeron and installed a Keyboard/Mouse tray that I could adjust to fit my typing height.

I love my Aeron chair. It really works and does what it's supposed to do. Just keep in mind that some ergonomic adjustments involve more than just the chair.

I hope that helps, in case anyone else is also "too short" for his/her own desk.

Answer:
The Aeron Chair comes in three sizes so you can choose the size that best fits your body. Based on your height and weight, a size B Aeron would be the best fit for you. You can view the size chart here:

http://www.hermanmiller.com/MarketF...

An Aeron Chair in size B has a seat height adjustment of 15 - 20 7/8 inches, which will allow you to adjust your seat height to fit well with your desk height. If you would like additional support with selecting your Aeron Chair, feel free to contact our Customer Care team at 1-888-798-0202.

Answer:
To determine which size would be best suited for your body, we would recommend taking a look at the following size reference chart:

http://www.hermanmiller.com/content...

Please chart your height and weight to get a recommendation on which chair would fit you best. All three chair sizes are tested and warranted for 300 lbs and under.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please give us a call at 888.798.0202.

The standard tilt description states that it allows the chair to recline. How far does the chair recline? And by contrast, if one were to get the Tilt Limiter option, how restrictive is the tilt?

Answer:
rough approximation ~ 20 degrees -- the tilt limiter allows you to limit the tilt variably from zero thru about 20 degrees; the control works & I use it (to tilt back and read a book), but is clunky and not well designed

Answer:
The back will recline from 86 degrees (4 degrees forward of perpendicular to the floor) back to 116 degrees. This gives the back a potential 30 degree range of movement.

The tilt limiter allows you to limit how far the chair goes back within the same range as the standard tilt. It provides the user more control over the stopping of the tilt at various degrees within the full range.

Is it possible to switch to Posturefit Lumbar support in the future after buying a chair now with the Adjustable Lumbar support? I am still unsure which lumbar support to get and therefore would like to have the option to switch them up in the future. Is every chair equipped with the tension knob used to adjust Posturefit? Thanks.

Answer:
It is possible to switch to our PostureFit lumbar Support after purchasing a chair with the Adjustable Lumbar support.

The type of back support is closely linked to the activities you do while seated. Since Aeron has a choice of either Lumbar or PostureFit sacral support, it is important to know how you move in your chair. If you recline, your head carries forward, rounding out the natural S shape of the spine. You can see that in the center graphic below. The Lumbar support will help guide the spine back into proper alignment while reclining. If you lean forward into your technology you can benefit from sacral support, or the region of the lower back that connects with the pelvis. Posturefit targets the sacral region and works like a hand to gently keep the pelvis supported and tilted forward.

So, Lumbar if you recline, and PostureFit if you lean forward into your technology.

The Tilt tension knob is included with all Aeron chairs. The PostureFit lumbar support can only be added to models with our "Tilt Limiter and Seat Angle" adjustment option.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please give us a call at 888.798.0202 or send us an email at hmstore@hermanmiller.com.

Aeron Chair 4.7 5 122 122
Honestly, the best chair I've ever owned. Have had back problems for years and have been on a long-time search for a chair that would be comfortable throughout the work day. I hesitated to spend this much for a chair, but finally decided to give it a shot. Honestly, this is the best money I've ever spent for a product. I recommend this chair to anyone who might be hesitating. April 13, 2012
Still the standard setter for office chair design. My first encounter with this chair was back in 2008. Since then I have seen a lot of imitations and variations by other companies. Having back problems I can not deal with anything less than the best chair. This chair has set the bar high and all competitors have fallen utterly short of this quality standard. I can literally sit in this chair for up to 16 hours a day 7 days a week with comfort. This chair has minimized my back pain. This chair is expensive but worth every penny. April 16, 2014
I need a hip replacement, but with this chair, I can sit for hours with out pain I have had a number of chairs over the last couple of years (4 chairs, 3 years). They all had been replaced because I could not sit for vary long with out pain in my lower back, hip and or knee. I have been told that I need a hip replacement, ten weeks ago. I bought this chair a week later for my office, because a friend that had hip issues recommended it. Said it helped him to easy the pain before his replacement, eight years ago. He went on to say that since then it has held up and is his favorite chair to sit in. I have had it only for eight weeks and I am in love with it, have sat for up to seven hours with out pain and when I due get out there is no stiffness or pain. If I could I would put one in my car and in every room in the house. One last thing I am 6ft 4in and 270 lbs the large sized one fits with room to spare, it is great! April 16, 2014
My chair just failed... Hydraulics 100% failure, with cylinder venting oil all over the floor. 5 year old chair. April 10, 2014
Herman Miller Chair Excellent design. The chair manipulates my posture to feel comfortable and sit correctly. All the available adjustments make it easy for anyone to use the chair. e.i. Adjust chair height, arm support height, lumbar support... April 1, 2014
Cannot get any better. I have used these chairs at work and home for over 20 yrs. there is no better chair out there! You can spend less, you can spend a lot more you will not find a better higher quality product. Oh the customer service are freaking amazing!!!! April 1, 2014
Best Chair ever I never feel Like I have to get up and stretch. This is the most adjustable and comfortable chair that I have owned. April 1, 2014
Second Chair This purchase was my second chair. I purchased one about 7 years ago for work and this one was for home. It gives me the ability to keep working. Without this chair, I would be in a bind as I would be unable to work. March 31, 2014
