Eyes Girard Environmental Enrichment Panel

Designer: Alexander Girard
Expressive and surprising, Alexander Girard’s eye design adds a hint of both color and humor to the walls of a living or working space. The artwork hails from the set of decorative panels originally released in 1972 to give extra personality to Herman Miller’s groundbreaking Action Office furniture system. An archival reissue of the 47-by-16-inch original, the canvas print is pre-mounted and easy to hang. Mounting hardware is included.

    A Belief in Beauty

When Alexander Girard created 40 decorative silkscreen designs for Action Office—the first open-plan furniture system—he was acting on his belief that design should bring beauty, fun, and sensuality to our world. Unlike Girard’s printed textiles featuring repeated patterns, these fabric panels, originally released in 1972, used stand-alone artwork that featured motifs such as abstract designs and figurative pictograms. Vibrant, large, and powerful, the Environmental Enrichment Panels add an element of personality to working and living spaces.
