Cosm Hi Back - Great Chair But I Recommend the Seat Test
I am lucky enough to have this chair at work and spend over 8 hours a day in it and love it. I am 5’ 6” and this has helped my back problems. However, the seat depth is too short for some people as some of my co-workers have taken it for a test drive and did not like it. With Herman Miller if you are tall, I would recommend going to the Aeron Chair in the size C as that might work better for you. The seat depth is short on the Cosm to give you more back support. Hope this helps!

Not fully adjustable arms
"Adjustable Arms" are only height adjustable! Chair is really comfortable, feels good on my back, but arms are way to wide for me to be able to use them comfortably.

A High Back + Breathable Chair
I am a larger fella, and gone are the days of sweaty and smelling leather chairs. I've also had my fair share of mesh chairs, but the mesh either gives out or is not supportive at all.

The Cosm Chair (High Back) is what I needed as a 6'3" 300lbs+ fella. My legs aren't compressed on their sides, and the continuous flow of the chair supports the whole back, and doesn't leave any gaps. The mesh is fairly breathable, and I haven't had any issues yet (but we are yet to get in the summer). I went with the adjustable arms (height only) and I have no complaints. I don't need a chair that has more gears and levers than my car. Height adjust on the chair and arms is all that I need. Set it once and forget.

The standard casters are OK, but I got some Roller Skate type wheels from online to go on the bottom and the slide on wood is now good. Leaning back is also so nice... in older chairs I'd be concerned. But because of the continuous profile that hugs your bottom to your neck, it supports and cradles you as you lean back and stretch.

Overall, I am very much a fan of the Cosm, even though I bought this without trying this out. I had sat in Aeron's in the past, but was put off by the back profile and short back. The Mira 2 was a close purchase, but again, the continuous profile is so comfortable and supportive of all of my curves.

Great chair, great support, great style
Great chair, great support, great style. 6'2" and 225lbs and works perfectly. Would recommend!

Too dependent on weight distribution and not for tall people
I've had this chair for about 7 months now and finally understand it. I'm 6'5'' and bought the high back model with the leaf arms. I wanted to love this chair and wanted something I could write code in for long hours. Unfortunately, your arms are not normally close enough to your body when coding or moving the mouse, this throws off your weight distribution and the seat pushes you forward. I do believe this chair is better as a meeting chair or for casual sitting. The material is incredibly soft and the chair is well made.

The first challenge to this chair is that I could not raise its height to a comfortable position. That was solved by buying taller casters which added about 1 inch to the height of the chair. Before doing that I did learn of a local authorized retailer selling the chair with a taller height range module.

The second challenge because of my height is the short seat depth. But I only notice it when the chair is pushing me forward. The key is to prevent your arms from being too far from your body and throwing off the weight distribution which pushes you forward. I realized that my desk with its contour shape made this more challenging and I do not recommend using a contour desk with this chair.

I did not like the leaf arms and took them off. I think they're designed for people with average length arms not long arms because my elbows rest on the lower edge of the arm which is where the mesh meets the hard frame.

I gained a greater appreciation for the chair after making those three adjustments

This is my third Herman Miller chair. I had high expectations based on reviews, but unfortunately this one disappoints. The seat is too short, and leaning is a disaster. There is no such thing as being all things for everyone. A chair needs adjustments. The Setu is way better with the same proposition. In fact, I bought a 200 chair at Staples that trumps the Cosm. Sorry HM. Customer service was fantastic by the way.

Amazing feat of design and engineering.
I've had my Cosm High-Back for about two weeks now and I am totally satisfied. I have an Aeron at work and decided to try something different for my home office chair and I'm glad I gave this one a try. There is only one adjustment, for height, but somehow it's always comfortable whether I'm leaning forward, back, or to the side. It looks very sleek as well. This is my "buy it for life" office chair and I think I made the right choice.

Great everyday chair!
I was a bit hesitant to purchase the High Back Cosm Chair (with the adjustable arms) because it was a newly released, expensive chair that didn't have many reviews on it. I am so happy that I made the leap -- this chair is very comfortable to sit in for any amount of time. (For reference I am F, 5'6", ~125 lbs) The lumbar support fits perfectly to the small of my back, and my bum no longer hurts after sitting for long hours. It's 100% worth the price and a beautiful piece to look at.

Nice looking but not so comfortable for the price
I recently bought this chair and for the price I think it is not worth it. I happen to have the same problem as other in the previous reviews. I'm 6'1" and the seat depth is really too short. Because of that I keep moving to re-ajust myself in order to fit back in a good position. You also feel like being pushed by the chair into a leaning forward position. The chair has a really nice look, but in the end it's daily usage I found it disappointing.

The Finest Chair I Have Ever Owned
I have been in the contract office furniture industry for many years and have tried many office chairs. I fell in love with the Cosm the first time I saw it. The fit and finish is remarkable and the design in beautiful.
I've been using this chair in my home office for over a month now, and I am even more impressed. All I can say is that it delightfully comfortable, simple, intuitive and responsive. Whether typing or kicking back, this chair is always there for me, in a humble and unassuming way.
