The first challenge to this chair is that I could not raise its height to a comfortable position. That was solved by buying taller casters which added about 1 inch to the height of the chair. Before doing that I did learn of a local authorized retailer selling the chair with a taller height range module.
The second challenge because of my height is the short seat depth. But I only notice it when the chair is pushing me forward. The key is to prevent your arms from being too far from your body and throwing off the weight distribution which pushes you forward. I realized that my desk with its contour shape made this more challenging and I do not recommend using a contour desk with this chair.
I did not like the leaf arms and took them off. I think they're designed for people with average length arms not long arms because my elbows rest on the lower edge of the arm which is where the mesh meets the hard frame.
I gained a greater appreciation for the chair after making those three adjustments

I've been using this chair in my home office for over a month now, and I am even more impressed. All I can say is that it delightfully comfortable, simple, intuitive and responsive. Whether typing or kicking back, this chair is always there for me, in a humble and unassuming way.

I also own the Aeron desk chair and know a lot of people are going to be wondering, "Is this a better chair?" Truth be told, they're entirely different chairs. This one is more focused on fitting you when you sit down in it (virtually no adjustments) whereas the Aeron has near infinite adjustability. This chair seems to fit me well and is likely my favorite of the two, but I'd be hard pressed to call it a "better" chair (apples to oranges). For the record, I'm 6'2 and a little over 200lbs and have no problem fitting (although I don't think a smaller person would either).
Thanks Herman Miller!!!
THIS IS MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND REVIEW. THIS MAY NOT BE THE CASE FOR OTHERS.
First of all, I suffer from mid to lower back issue and this chair made my pain level worse and now I am experiencing nerve problems. I cant sit more than an hour in this chair. I tried sitting for about 3 hours but it caused more pain (nerve pinching and etc).
My main issue with this chair is that its too upright. I have to force my self to lean backward and also to maintain that position. It not only forces my back to work even while sitting it is extremely uncomfortable. Also, personally, the leaf arm rest is beautiful but very uncomfortable. Whenever im in an upright position my arms would just slide down making the arm rest useless. However, when I am leaning backward the leaf arm rest works fine.
Another issue that I experienced with this chair is the length of the sit. It's way too short for my leg. Even when I pull my self all the way to the back it only covers half of my thigh (I am 5'10). This definitely puts alot of stress on my back.
This problem persists when working on my computer and simply leaning back and watching netflix.
This chair is too expensive to have these problems. I cant wait to send this back and buy a different chair.
Again, this is my personal experience and it may differ with others experience.
I wish some one had written a detailed review before making this purchase. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning this chair...
I hope this review helps any future buyers with back problems.
