Herman Miller has teamed up with the New Canaan library in Connecticut to create the dream home office experience, for a cause. As institutions rooted in community and inclusion, the partnership between New Canaan library and Herman Miller was a natural fit. All the furniture and décor provided by Herman Miller, whether they debuted in 1950 or last week, are designed for timeless modern living. That’s why, even decades later, the Eames Lounge Chair, Aeron Chair, Nelson Bench and other pieces, retain their relevance.
The Mirror House was inspired by New Canaan’s iconic Glass House, designed by Philip Johnson (of the Harvard Five) and selected for its reflection of the library’s reflection of the community and transparency of values. Those local to New Canaan can test drive this home office oasis featuring ergonomic performance seating plus our modern home and office essentials, by booking a day for free. This Spring 2021, the Mirror house, including all Herman Miller furniture inside, will be auctioned off to raise funds for the mid-century inspired, reimagined New Canaan Library.
