Shipping and Delivery

Shipping Charges

Our five most popular work chairs ship for $29 per chair with In-Home Delivery: Aeron, SAYL, Embody, Mirra, and Setu.

We charge shipping as a percentage of your order total:

Orders up to $1,000 are billed at 8% of order total.
Orders over $1,000 up to $3,000 are billed at 7.5% of order total.
Orders over $3,000 are billed at 7% of order total.

If your order includes any of the work chairs that ship for a flat fee of $29 each, their price counts toward your order total. Here's how delivery would be calculated on an example order that includes these work chairs:

        2 Aeron chairs ($869 each x 2 = $1,738)
        1 Cognita bench ($999)

        Order Total = $2,737 ($1,738 + $999 = $2,737)
        This puts the total order in the 7.5% shipping bracket because the $2,737 order total is between $1,000 and $3,000.

        In-Home Delivery Total = $132.93
        Breakdown of delivery cost: $29 + $29 (for each of the chairs) + $74.93 for the bench ($999 x 7.5%)

Please note that the maximum shipping charge for each In-Home Delivery order is $500. Maximum charge for a White Glove Delivery order is $600.

Shipping Methods

We have a variety of shipping methods available to ensure a quality delivery experience:

In-Home Delivery service is used for most chairs, desks, and larger items. These orders are delivered by freight carrier. Our carrier will call to schedule your in-home delivery.
White Glove Delivery is available on many large products and includes delivery to any room in your home plus up to one hour of setup and assembly.
FedEx Ground is used for smaller items such as lighting and accessories.

Shipping Time

Most products ordered from The Herman Miller Store are custom built for you. Once your order is built and shipped, delivery takes between 3 and 10 business days. For In-Home Delivery and White Glove Delivery, you will receive a phone call from our delivery service to schedule your delivery.
