    Table Top Construction

    Today I learned that the Nelson End Table top is made of pressed wood filler which is only visable when the table is turned over.

    So the table looks great, but surprised at the use of pressed wood.

    I'm curious to know if this was how the original 1954 table was constructed.

    Answer: 
    The original Nelson End Table was built in 1954 with a plywood core. Today the table is made with a particle board core, and can be ordered with either a black or white laminate top with a maple veneer edge.
