I am 6'3" and 200lbs. According to the size chart, I should get a size c (large). Does anyone near my height and weight have experience with a size B (medium) or size C (large)?

Answer:
Hi David,
My husband is 6'6" tall, 215 lbs, with a 37" inseam. He has been using the C size for 5+ years. I found that the biggest key in fitting him was the seat pan depth for his long legs (frankly, he could have used an even deeper seat--at 6'3" I believe you will be just fine) plus the wider and taller back for comfort/shoulder support. When I sat him in the B, he looked woefully uncomfortable! I personally would do a C with confidence. (The Aeron pellicle was the winning factor for him, he wanted something that would be cool and comfortable even on hot summer days of computer work and it has been phenomenal!) Certainly, if the is a HM retailer in your area, a test sit is worth a thousand words! Hope this helps!

Required height for high desk.

My current seat height to floor is 50cm which i find painful on the arms, neck and shoulders as my chair isn't high enough.

The underside of my desk to the hard floor measurement is 78cm.

What would be a suitable chair for this height.
I'm 74kg and 178cm.

Many thanks

Answer:
Speaking from experience, you really should NOT adjust your chair to compensate for a high desk, especially if it's creating pain.

I inherited a work desk that was "too tall" for me, as well as a Size C (Large) Aeron chair. As a 5-foot-tall woman, that combination gave me back and neck problems.

Long story short, I got a smaller Aeron and installed a Keyboard/Mouse tray that I could adjust to fit my typing height.

I love my Aeron chair. It really works and does what it's supposed to do. Just keep in mind that some ergonomic adjustments involve more than just the chair.

I hope that helps, in case anyone else is also "too short" for his/her own desk.

Answer:
The Aeron Chair comes in three sizes so you can choose the size that best fits your body. Based on your height and weight, a size B Aeron would be the best fit for you. You can view the size chart here:

http://www.hermanmiller.com/MarketF...

An Aeron Chair in size B has a seat height adjustment of 15 - 20 7/8 inches, which will allow you to adjust your seat height to fit well with your desk height. If you would like additional support with selecting your Aeron Chair, feel free to contact our Customer Care team at 1-888-798-0202.

Answer:
To determine which size would be best suited for your body, we would recommend taking a look at the following size reference chart:

http://www.hermanmiller.com/content...

Please chart your height and weight to get a recommendation on which chair would fit you best. All three chair sizes are tested and warranted for 300 lbs and under.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please give us a call at 888.798.0202.

The standard tilt description states that it allows the chair to recline. How far does the chair recline? And by contrast, if one were to get the Tilt Limiter option, how restrictive is the tilt?

Answer:
rough approximation ~ 20 degrees -- the tilt limiter allows you to limit the tilt variably from zero thru about 20 degrees; the control works & I use it (to tilt back and read a book), but is clunky and not well designed

Answer:
The back will recline from 86 degrees (4 degrees forward of perpendicular to the floor) back to 116 degrees. This gives the back a potential 30 degree range of movement.

The tilt limiter allows you to limit how far the chair goes back within the same range as the standard tilt. It provides the user more control over the stopping of the tilt at various degrees within the full range.

Aeron Chair 4.4 5 30 30
Honestly, the best chair I've ever owned. Have had back problems for years and have been on a long-time search for a chair that would be comfortable throughout the work day. I hesitated to spend this much for a chair, but finally decided to give it a shot. Honestly, this is the best money I've ever spent for a product. I recommend this chair to anyone who might be hesitating. April 13, 2012
GIANT step up from what I was using This chair has been fitting like it was made for me! No more lumps of pillows behind my lumbar region, and no more leg pressure from sitting on the wrong size chair. I feel like Goldilocks---this chair is just right! I was hoping that this was money well-spent and it was! May 15, 2013
Best office chair ever! I bought my Herman Miller Aeron Chair in January of 2000. I really love this chair. It has been the best office chair I have ever owned. I could adjust it to any position I needed and the lumbar back support is great for me as I have a chronic low back problem, and it supports my lower back perfectly. A few years ago I had a problem with the chairs hydraulic system so I contacted Herman Miller and the problem was promply and professionally taken care of at no cost to me. I have owned this chair for over twelve years and while I am not wealthy it has been worth the investment. Unfortunatly I am now having noticable problems with the arm adjusters. They began to loosen a couple of years ago. I fear they will loose the ability to hold the position I need them to be in for correct alignment. Despite this problem I would still highly recommend this chair. May 7, 2013
Best work chair I've ever used. I think that this is the best work chair money can buy. It's comfortable over a long period of time. At first it took my body a week or two to adjust to actually sitting in proper posture, but I notice I don't have any back fatigue anymore, and no more pressure points as with conventional chairs. I draw on a Wacom cintiq on my desk, and being able to use the tilt forward feature to get my upper body over the screen so I can draw on it is PRICELESS. No other chair I ever used can tilt forward this far. The price of this chair is a fair value, the 12 years warranty makes it worth it. April 22, 2013
Great Chairs We now have 5 of the Aeron Chairs and we love them. On an average day my coworkers and I sit for approximately 8-9 hours but the chair remains comfortable all day. I have a bad back and neck however when I started using my Aeron chair by the end of the day I usually have little to no back or neck pain. Before, when we had other chairs I would leave work in great pain. Overall this is the best chair I have ever used and would recommend this chair to anyone, especially those that sit for long periods of time. Thank you for creating such a wonderful product! April 22, 2013
Highly recommend for anyone who has to sit for long hours I have to sit at a desk for 10+ hours per day, and I wish I had bought this chair a long time ago. Best features include seat design, cool mesh seat and back (note the tremendous tensile strength of the material used for the mesh), forward tilt for the seat, and high-quality wheels. Chair is also beautiful to look at; seems molded from one piece. April 17, 2013
Hurts my back For a very cheap low end chair, these are great. I assumed my employer simply bought cheap chairs to save money & was okay with that. All part of the job. Then I find out this chair's ridiculous price, at 15 times what I expected! At work, in my Aeron chair, I have to keep getting up & taking breaks to walk around the office and stretch my back when it starts to hurt too much. For comparison, my home's office chair is about 1/4 of the price of this and I can sit in it for hours on end with my back feeling fine. I've used the tutorials on this site to make my chair as loose as possible. This helped a little, but it's by no means comfortable. It would help a lot if the back was a straight line instead of digging a wedge into my lower back. Istead, the only option I get is a dial to make that wedge firmer & hurt my back more... This is just a horribly designed chair that's worth about 1/15th of it's price. It's on par with those metal folding chairs. My employer has been badly ripped off by buying so many of these. Save your money. Get something comfortable. February 26, 2013
Perfect for my lower back pain I have this chair at work (Cornell University) and it is fantastic. Ergonomically, it is the best chair I've ever had. I have problems with my lower back, and I have found that sitting in this chair all day long actually does not hurt my back and (could just be me) by the end of the day, my back actually felt BETTER! I am hoping one day to save up and get one for my home office. This chair is fantastic and I HIGHLY recommend it. The ONLY downside is the price is out of range for many people, which is too bad. but I won't discount its rating because of that because overall it is still a fantastic product. November 30, 2012
