Fascinated by how spaces transform over time, Hung-Ming Chen and Chen-Yen Wei invented the word Afteroom to name their Stockholm studio. "We simply want to create things people won't get rid of," says Chen-Yen. In creating the Story Planter, they brought a brand-new twist to floral arrangements by accommodating plants and flowers in a vertical stack within a very compact footprint. The Story Planter Bowl (2020), a component of the Story Planter, is also sold separately for addition to the Story Bookcase. Intermix bowls with shelves to create a pleasing arrangement of plants and books. Bowl can be set facing forward or to the side. It does not have a drainage hole. Made in Taiwan.
