George Nelson Associates, first launched as a studio by George Nelson in 1947 in New York City, employed some of the most celebrated designers of the time—including Irving Harper, Don Ervin, and Charles Pollock. Each contributed to what would become a collection of more than 150 clocks. While diverse in style, the designs shared one common feature: An imaginative approach to time-keeping that gave an otherwise utilitarian object modern, decorative appeal.
