At our fulfillment and warehouse facilities, our packers and pickers are taking extra steps to ship your products safely. They regularly sanitize and wash their hands and wear gloves while handling your products and shipments.
The State of Michigan issued a state-wide shelter-in-place order effective March 24 – April 13, 2020. With our headquarters and the majority of our manufacturing located in Michigan, this news hits close to home. Our corporate employees are working from home to continue to serve our customers, but we have temporarily closed our Michigan-based manufacturing plants through April 13th.
We appreciate your support and are still committed to fulfilling orders during this time. In-stock purchases will continue to ship, but your made-to-order Herman Miller item might be impacted. At the moment, we are evaluating the status of each customer order. If your order is impacted, our customer service team will be contacting you with an update. If there’s a similar option in-stock, they will also share this with you or work with you on a future delivery date. We understand the immediate need for new work from home essentials is high, but if you do select a product with a longer lead-time, it will help us get our team back to work as soon as the shelter-in-place restrictions are lifted. Freight carriers are delivering to every market domestically but changing policies and procedures daily that may affect distribution. In some markets we are unable to offer white glove delivery at this time, but we can coordinate with the customers to deliver product to their door.
At Herman Miller, we began restricting employee travel (both internationally and domestically) in late February. Though we’re currently working from home, our team is still here to help you.
