Crafted with care


Heath’s unique process balances the variations of handiwork with the consistency of machine-making. For example, after a design is formed and dried, it’s spun on a wheel and pared down by hand.

On the surface


Each piece is coated with a specially formulated glaze developed by Heath that reacts with the clay during the firing process to achieve a unique color and finish.

Through the fire


The firing process transforms Heath signature California clay into heirloom ceramics. Originally built in the late 1950s, their kilns blaze at 2,080° Fahrenheit to produce the unique color and texture that defines their craft.
