Designed by George Nelson
Along with looking and feeling exquisite, the richly veneered Nelson Thin Edge Buffet also offers a high degree of utility. With two adjustable shelves behind its hinged doors and four deep drawers—all of which have soft-closing slides—it generously allows for the storage of objects in an efficient, organized manner.
It’s the details that make a George Nelson piece so special, and instantly recognizable. In the case of the Thin Edge Buffet, it’s the inviting and graceful-to-the-touch pulls, in white or silver aluminum alloy, and the finely crafted drawers with soft-closing slides. It’s the elegant polished aluminum legs that express the essence of mid-century modern.
It’s the beauty of the carefully chosen and applied wood veneers: santos palisander—a sustainable wood that shares the rich, deep grain of rosewood—and also in walnut, white ash, and a combination of contrasting light and dark veneers.

The Nelson Thin Edge Buffet is made of 64 percent to 85 percent recycled materials and is 88 percent to 91 percent recyclable at the end of its useful life. It’s more likely that should you ever need to “recycle” this buffet, you’ll do so by giving it to someone in your family or to a very close friend.
The refined, streamlined buffet is available with a matte black finished back for use against a wall or fully a veneered back if it is to be used in a freestanding position.
