Designers: Charles and Ray Eames
A beautiful expression of a timeless design, the Eames Molded Wood Side Chair introduces wood material and new technology to classic work by Charles and Ray Eames. Choose from three finish options—white ash, walnut, and santos palisander—and a wire, wood dowel leg, or 4-leg base to make a striking statement in any dining room, living space, or office.
Charles and Ray Eames believed that design was an ongoing journey of exploration, evolution, insight, and delight. Through the years, this philosophy led to continued refinements of their products as technology, manufacturing, materials, and understanding about the environment evolved.
Their classic Molded Plastic Chair, the result of continual explorations, has welcomed iterations and purposeful updates since first becoming available in 1950. Like its designers, the chair has always been on a journey—and with the introduction of the form in wood material created using 3-D veneer technology, the timeless design takes another step forward as the Molded Wood Side Chair.

Recent technological advances now provide the extra flexibility wood veneer needs to be molded into complex curves—and take on the authentic form of the classic Eames design as a single wood shell.
A new iteration of the molded plastic chair design, the Eames Molded Wood Side Chair thoughtfully honors the same organic shapes and sleek lines of the classic work of Charles and Ray Eames—as well as their appreciation of honest, straightforward materials.
The veneers of this side chair are available in three wood finishes: white ash, walnut, and santos palisander. The wire (or "Eiffel Tower") and 4-leg base options come in either chrome or black. Wood dowel base options include ebony, maple, or walnut.
Created to let you sit comfortably, the molded wood shell seats have high, flexible backs, deep seat pockets, and waterfall front edges.
