Details

After studying architecture at Gloucestershire College of Art, George Sowden moved to Milan to work with Ettore Sottsass and typewriter manufacturer Olivetti. In 1981, he became one of the founders of design collective Memphis Group, and in decades since he's collaborated with several companies, including Alessi, Swatch, Steelcase and Pyrex. The Sowden Tin (2018) includes an airtight lid in contrasting hues. Suitable for storing coffee and other dry goods. Made in China.
