Expanded Options

We've added a number of new options to let you create the exact chair you want. You can choose leather or fabric upholstery. If you choose leather, you can opt for our standard leather or our new premium leather, a semi-aniline, dyed leather with 100 percent natural full grain. Color variations and surface marks are an inherent characteristic of this material, which will acquire wrinkles and creases and develop a rich patina over time. The new premium leather option is available in black and pearl.

To complement the lighter materials—including white leather—we are also offering powder coat finishes on the base and frame in white and graphite satin, along with polished aluminum.

Earth-friendly Construction

Soft Pad chairs are made of 67 percent recycled materials and are 90 percent recyclable at the end of their useful life.

Innovative Comfort Suspension

Charles and Ray Eames were always concerned about the comfort of their furniture. On the Aluminum Group chairs, they stretched a continuous piece of seat-back upholstery tautly between the aluminum side ribs to make a flexible pocket that provides support as you sit. The Management chair has two upholstered foam cushions on the back and one on the seat.

Handy Adjustments

Chairs have a 5-star base with tilt-swivel mechanism, manual or optional pneumatic seat-height adjustment, and tilt lock feature.
