    Three Sizes

Once Nelson had a good idea, he often wanted to use it over and over. So this table is available in three sizes—tall pedestal with small surface, tall pedestal with large surface, and short pedestal with large surface.

So you can choose just one for a specific purpose in your home. Or choose all three to make a cohesive statement in a room.

The sculpted, tapered pedestal is available in white, studio white, black, and polished aluminum. The top surfacemdash;in white, studio white, or black—features a maple veneer edge.

Table Top Construction

Today I learned that the Nelson End Table top is made of pressed wood filler which is only visable when the table is turned over.

So the table looks great, but surprised at the use of pressed wood.

I'm curious to know if this was how the original 1954 table was constructed.

Answer:
The original Nelson End Table was built in 1954 with a plywood core. Today the table is made with a particle board core, and can be ordered with either a black or white laminate top with a maple veneer edge.
