Often called the “surfboard table.” Whatever you call it, the Eames Wire Base Elliptical table makes it clear that good design never goes out of style.
With its long, low, slender profile, the Eames Wire Base Elliptical Table sits dramatically in front of a long sofa or in the middle of a chair grouping.
It makes a perfect stage for displaying your collection of mid-century fat lava pieces, a handmade low bowl, fresh flowers, magazines, or a special coffee table book in a living room, great room, or family room. Finished in black, white, or studio white laminate, the table makes a striking statement wherever it is.

The table's 89 inches of surface length provide a place for everyone sitting on a sofa to set down glasses or plates or cups. The tabletop consists of a seven-ply Baltic birch core sandwiched between high-pressure black or white laminate. The 20-degree beveled edge gives the top added emphasis.
The wire-rod base design is a signature Eames look. Rods in either white, studio white, or black coordinate with the top you choose. An additional option—trivalent chrome—adds a subtle contrast to any of the top finish choices.
