Mirra Chair

However You Sit on It, It Fits

Mirra does what you need a task chair to do, does it beautifully, does it easily, and is very affordable. No wonder it's won a slew of awards!

You get support and flexibility from the one-piece backrest, which is elastic so that it accommodates individual sizes, sitting positions, and the movements you make while you sit. The PostureFit feature keeps your lower back properly aligned. And the AireWeave suspension seat distributes your body pressure evenly and keeps you cool.

Answer:
It depends on how much you want to adjust your back support and customize it. Personally, I would HIGHLY recommend it.

Answer:
The type of back support is closely linked to the activities you do while seated. Since Mirra has a choice of either Adjustable Lumbar support or just the standard PostureFit sacral support, it is important to know how you move in your chair. If you recline, your head carries forward, rounding out the natural S shape of the spine. You can see that in the center graphic below. The Lumbar support will help guide the spine back into proper alignment while reclining. If you lean forward into your technology you can benefit from sacral support, or the region of the lower back that connects with the pelvis. Posturefit targets the sacral region and works like a hand to gently keep the pelvis supported and tilted forward. So, Adjustable Lumbar support if you recline, and PostureFit if you lean forward into your technology.

With the workplace always evolving, Studio 7.5 revamped the Mirra Chair to be more personal with the Mirra 2.
Mirra 2 moves with you and supports even your slightest movements. While Studio 7.5 retained the athletic attitude and intuitive adjustments of the original, they advanced the material and form of this idea in virtually every aspect of Mirra 2.

Answer:
We now offer all models of the Mirra Chair on the Herman Miller Store with or without the adjustable back support. The adjustable lumbar support is designed to fill the curve in your back while in the recline position and will also support the small of your back while in the upright position. It allows you to adjust both height and depth to fit your body. If you would like to order the chair without the adjustable support, you can select that option in the Back Support section when configuring your chair.

The Mirra Chair is designed to fit all sizes, and the standard chair height ranges from 16 - 20.5 inches. Mirra's FlexFront seat edge allows you to adjust the seat depth to fit your height using a simple lever on the front side of your seat.

Mirra's TriFlex backrest conforms to individual sizes, postures and movements for complete body support. Mirra is rated up to 300lbs.

Latitude back cover?

Where is the option for the latitude back covers? The midnight blue might be cool, but I can't find the option nor any good pictures of it on the chair. Thank you.

If you select the upholstered back option when configuring your chair, you will now be able to see images of the chair with the fabric back at the top of your page. The image will show what each Latitude color option looks like on the chair.

Mirra Chair 4.6 5 15 15
A good chair but needs some tweaks The Mirra chair is a solid and good quality chair. However, I had to return it due to a few things. First, I am 5 foot 8 and 140lbs in toned condition. I don't have much body fat, so little things tend to rub or poke me. That said, I found the chair back and seat to rub me and not have enough cushion. The seat support of the Mirra and Mirra 2 is fine and the airweave is a good design, but it needs a breathable soft fabric cover over it so the fine mesh doesn't poke you. Same for the back, but mine did not have the fabric cover so I can't address if that would help or not. The arms tend to push in/out too easy and does so when not wanted if pressed a certain way when sitting. This causes unwanted movement when you want them to remain fixed. Needs another lock to prevent this like the up/down lock on it now. Overall, I did like the chair, even better than the Embody for how it feels in general, but they need to put more padding for a seat cover and perhaps the back and it would be fine. April 21, 2014
Sometimes you just have to sit down in a chair I bought this chair because sometimes I just like to sit. Take now, for instance. I'm just sitting. Before I had this chair, I thought to myself, "Well, it sure would be nice to sit in something designed to be sat in." I'm pretty sure the seat I sat in before wasn't really a seat at all: It barely had butt support. It may or may not have had some kind of arm rest(s). This chair, though, the HERMAN MILLER Mirra chair, is the only seat I'm ever going to sit in. I'm never standing up again. It's as if the designers actually took a moment to sit in the very same chair they built. Can you even believe that? Listen to me: If you like to sit as much as I like to sit, then sit in this seat. It's a seat made for sitting. It's the best seat I've ever sat in. It has knobs and buttons on it that do things that most seats don't do. I don't even let my children sit in my seat because come on, it's my seat not theirs, go find your own seat, children. April 16, 2014
This is a great chair. I have had many issues with other chairs. This is the only chair that I have found that will give me full support where I need it. It has also has helped with my posture. After adjusting the tension to my body, it has helped with both sitting and how I feel after as well. March 13, 2014
Another great chair from HM. I like this one a lot better than the Aeron, because the seat doesn't have lips on the side that prevent you from sitting on your own foot. I like to sit like that, so having nothing in the way is a big plus. The armrests are convex, so my arm has a tendency to slide off of them if I put a lot of weight on them. February 17, 2014
Seat too short | back tilts forward At 6"3" tall, the seat is much too short (not deep enough), am unable to correct forward tilt of back even though I included all optional adjustments available on this chair. January 31, 2014
Ehhh.... We bought (5) of these chairs for our designers thinking that they would be stoked to replace their standard padded chairs. We were wrong. Only two of our designers took them and other three decided to stick with their old chairs. Unfortunately, not sure if this is the chair that people are going to be stoked on completely. This product has the comfort needed to support good body alignment This chair has the proper alignment to give the comfort and support needed for relief of fatigue so often a byproduct of sitting for longer times. This product also provides comfort, support and very attractive features such as it's color and the seating and back construction this is a unique and excellent product with the highest performance imagined.
