Designers: Charles and Ray Eames
AKA the Time-Life chair—because it was created in 1959 for the ultramodern lobbies of the Time-Life Building in New York. Also appropriate because, when you sit in it, you’ll have the time of your life.
This luxurious chair is an example of Charles Eames's belief that "the details are not details; they make the product."
Generously sized, the executive chair features the highest quality materials: an aluminum base and frame, finely detailed upholstery accented with upholstery-covered buttons, and edge details typical of traditional fine furniture. Now available in new finish and material options.

The chair is available in leather and a wide range of fabrics. If you choose leather, you can opt for our standard or our new premium leather, semi-aniline, dyed leather with 100 percent natural full grain. Color variations and surface marks are an inherent characteristic of this material, which will acquire wrinkles and creases and develop a rich patina over time.
The new premium leather is available in black or pearl, and to complement lighter materials, we are offering powder coat finishes on the base and frame in white and graphite satin, along with the traditional polished aluminum.
You'll understand the minute you settle into it: Comfort comes first. The seat and back cushions are contoured. The seat cushions are 4 ½-inch-thick foam; the back cushions are 3 inches thick. Armrests are well padded.
The executive chair is unusually wide—26 ½ inches—which provides a lavish and luxurious seating experience. Adjustable seat height, tilt-swivel mechanism, and a stable five-star base add to the comfort. Available with casters or glides.
