      A desk should be practical and functional. At 60 inches wide, 28 inches deep, and 29 inches high, the Desk Unit provides plenty of surface space.

      It also features a drawer that can accommodate hanging file folders and is covered with an easily accessible storage or display area. The drawer can be placed on the right or left side.

      The neutral color scheme uses birch veneer with white and black accents to create a sleek, high-tech look. The bright color scheme uses red, blue, black, and white hardboard panels and surfaces that are reminiscent of a Mondrian painting.

      The steel cross-supports and uprights give the units an industrial feel, and the plywood drawer fronts and shelves reinforce the furniture's mid-century modern appearance.

      Uprights and cross-supports are zinc-coated steel; drawer fronts and shelves are smooth plywood; side panels are painted hardboard. Nylon foot glides are easy on floors.

    That is, I need a left-side configuration for my current working space, but I would switch to a right-side drawer configuration in the future, space permitting. It looks like the parts should be reversible, but I'd like to be sure before I buy. Thanks!

    Answer: 
    The Eames Desk Unit is structurally specific to the drawers orientation. Any modifications to the unit post purchase could compromise the integrity of the product and would void the warranty.

    We do offer desks without storage that would provide flexibility and could accommodate a changing work space.
