Designer: Naoto Fukasawa
Designer Naoto Fukasawa was upset when his Déjà-vu Stools were first exhibited, because people sat on them instead of standing back and gazing at them. Well, wouldn’t you? The Déjà-vu Stool is fashioned from lightweight aluminum and comes in high and medium versions and in polished aluminum.
Designer Naoto Fukasawa believes that designers “don’t think to design the ‘ordinary.’” Normal is too boring. The Déjà-vu Stool proves his contention that “normal” should be anything but boring. The trim profile, use of honest materials, and durability add up to a stool that is good-looking and eminently perchable. Definitely not boring.
"Things that possess a quality to shake us back to our senses are ‘Super Normal.’"
