Designer: Alexander Girard
An eye-catching variation on Girard’s 1965 Checker textile and produced the same year, Checker Split adds visual interest by “folding over” portions of the original Checker pattern to create a dynamic mix of squares and triangles. Composed of 77 percent cotton and 23 percent polyester, the Checker Split Pillow measures 17 x 17 inch (43 x 43 cm) and contains a 100 percent duck down fill insert, which can be removed by opening the case’s concealed zipper. Checker Split was introduced as a Maharam re-edition in 2001.
