Designer: Alexander Girard
Alexander Girard created the Checker textile design in 1965, midway through his tenure as Herman Miller’s Textile Director. Composed of 77 percent cotton and 23 percent polyester, the Checker Pillow measures 17 x 17 inch (43 x 43 cm) and contains a 100 percent duck down fill insert, which can be removed by opening the case’s concealed zipper. Checker was introduced as a Maharam re-edition in 2001.
