Swiss designer Daniel Korb, cofounder of Korb + Korb, began as an architect. It shows. The designer of the Sense Desk and Desktop Cabinet believes that the concept is the most important part of a design project: Establish a strong idea on which you can build everything that follows, and keep in mind that simple is better than complex. Which explains how he came up with an award-winning, sophisticated, and functional work desk that you can put together without a single tool.

Two decades of design, architecture, and communication has brought Korb and his design team more than twenty national and international design awards. But no one at Korb + Korb is resting on his or her laurels. "Success is never final," Korb says, and the studio continues to apply its design philosophy to contemporary office and residential furniture, flooring, and lighting projects.
