Eames Molded Plastic Chairs
Charles and Ray Eames created the molded plastic chair with two goals in mind: comfort and versatility. To achieve the first, they designed a seat in a singular form with a deep sitting pocket and a gently flexing back. To address versatility, Charles and Ray created a number of bases to cover every aspect of lifeâfrom working to dining to lounging. Add to that a myriad of color options, and itâs no wonder the molded plastic chair has been a hit since its introduction 1958.
